Since 1996 I have been visiting Rehoboth Beach, Delaware during the summer months to enjoy the sun, walk on the beach, play tennis, spend time with friends and be a part of this diverse and unique boardwalk town for a respite from the city life. This photo sums up what “Summer” means to me as I am riding bikes with my two best friends on a warm summer day over the week of the 4th of July. This Junction & Breakwater Trail links Rehoboth Beach, DE to Lewes, DE and passes through coastal wetlands, cornfields and residential communities along the way. If you go, be sure to not miss lunch at Cafe Azafran in Lewes, DE (which is the turn around point on the ride). I have a wonderful pact with my BFF’s to be together in Rehoboth Beach for the week of the 4th of July every year. I wouldn’t miss the trip or time with my friends and look forward to the next year as soon as I board my flight back to California.
